Cold Calling for Leads vs. Buying Leads

This is an age old question.  Do you stick yourself in a cubicle and start dialing from old lists or call a live transfer leads generation company to qualify the prospect so you can just close?  It depends.  Depends on where you are in your career.  If you are green(a beginner), I would cold call.  Write out a script to qualify, then a pitch and some good closing questions.  If you are no spring chicken, paying someone to qualify might work better. 

Tip: Get the name for the decision maker and there email or fax number.  Send them a price list and call the next day to make sure it got in there hands.  Ask them if they saw your best seller on the list.  Apply this to your sales process and see the qualified leads pour in.
